2010 TOWN OF PONCHA SPRINGS MUNICIPAL ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The polling place is the Poncha Springs Town Hall, 330 Burnett Avenue, Poncha Springs, Colorado. Voters registered with Chaffee County as Permanent Mail-In Voters will receive a ballot by mail. Application for absent voters’ ballots shall be filed in writing with the Town Clerk: to include the applicant’s printed name, signature, residence address, mailing address; such absent voter application must be filed not later than the close of business on the Friday immediately preceding the election (April 2, 2010). A Mail Ballot and/or Absentee Ballot may be cast by returning it to the Town Clerk by mail, PO Box 190, Poncha Springs, CO 81242 or in person, 330Burnett Ave., Poncha Springs, CO, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday prior to the election or between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (April 6, 2010). All Mail Ballots and/or Absentee Ballots must be in the hands of the Town Clerk no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 6, 2010 for your vote to be counted. At said election, the electors of the Town of Poncha Springs shall vote for five members of the Board of Trustees, three of whom will serve four-year terms and two of whom will serve two-year terms, based on the number of votes received. The candidates for the five open seats for Board of Trustees are (vote for not more than five (5): Ron Slaughter, Darryl Wilson, Steven E. Rust, Galen Angelo, Darrell D. Donahoo, Bret M. Collyer, Aaron Kroschel, Robert Fowler.

The voter must have resided in the State of Colorado and the Town of Poncha Springs at least thirty (30) days and be registered in Precinct 4 or 5 within the Town of Poncha Springs town limits at least twenty nine (29) days prior to election.
