Town Clean Up Day and 17th Annual Lunch

When: June 5th 2021   
8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be served 11 a.m. – 12 noon
Where: 333 Burnett Avenue – Town Hall/Chipeta Park

A giant dumpster will be available at Town Hall for Poncha Springs Residents for large items like: SMALL appliances, fence, pipe and wire, couches, mattresses, brush, and branches. 

Can’t move it? Stop by Town Hall and schedule a pickup – no charge. 

We will not accept regular household trash, electronics, microwaves, batteries, large appliances, tires, or hazardous fluids. 

There will be coffee and cinnamon rolls for the early birds. All food and beverages served by Cross Roads Church. Thanks to this group, this is the 17th annual lunch Cross Roads Church has provided service for.

With COVID restrictions still in place to varying degrees the Town of Poncha Springs will again conduct a COVID Covert Easter Egg Drop rather than hold the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Chipeta Park

2021 COVID Covert Easter Egg Drop Concept:

·        Volunteers will “hide” Easter eggs upon request in front yards the night before Easter, April 3rd, after 8:00p.m.

·        Parents can sign up by emailing mail@ponchasprings.us or calling 719-539-6882 and provide the following information:

o   Your address (must be within Poncha Springs municipal limits)

o   Number of children, and ages of each child (level of difficulty for hiding eggs)

o   If it is preferred to get a bag of eggs and disperse them yourself OR have them dispersed in the yard for you by our volunteers

o   If you would like the volunteers to “hide” them for you, please let us know where or where not to “hide” them

·        Please sign up by 1:00pm Friday April 2nd

Precautionary Measures:

·        Similar to last year no interaction with the volunteers is needed

·        Volunteers will travel in separate vehicles to disperse the eggs in a timely manner

·        Prefilled eggs will be taken directly from the original boxes and dispersed in the yards (bags will be dropped off at the front door for multi-family units and others that request it)
